TMNT Story

The evolution of the Turtles…

A boy’s bowl of pet turtles falls into the stench of an underground city sewer. They land on Splinter, a penniless but powerful ninja master who lives in the muck.

Splinter’s enemy, Shredder (leader of the evil Foot Clan), pours a disgusting green ooze over Splinter (and accidentally, the Turtles!), hoping to zap him dead.

Instead, the turtle pets mutate into turtle teens, and Splinter turns into the biggest rat ever to face a trap.

Splinter, the big cheese leader, teaches the Turtles the ways of the Ninja! Together, they form a kick-stomping fighting team for the side of good against the deadly Foot Clan! Get ready for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Get the Good, the Bad and the Accessories!

Shredder The Foot Clan

Oroku Saki "The Shredder"

The Shredder action figure was in my collection later on after I got the four TMNT figures. I needed a Villain to fight my other TMNT figures LOL. Even if hes not that poseable he still looks pretty cool with all his armament and weapons. The best part is that he has a real cape (LOVE IT!!!)

80'S Cartoon Shredder

INFO

The Shredder was the leader of the Foot Clan. He was the main villain of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Series. Shredder was frequently assisted by his Mutant henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, and was bossed around by Krang.

Long ago in Japan, Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi were both members of the Foot Clan. Oroku Saki was enemies with Hamato Yoshi. Jealous of Yoshi's leadership, Saki came up with a plan to get rid of him. Saki made his move the day that a master sensei- arrived at the Foot School. Saki pinned the back of Yoshi's kimono with a knife to the wall, which prevented him from bowing to show respect for the sensei, and everyone considered an insult.

Then, when Yoshi found the knife and pulled it out, they considered it a plot to kill the sensei, so Yoshi was banished from the Foot Clan. From then on, Saki took over Foot Clan and took the once noble clan and turned it into an army of crime. Not content with having banished Yoshi from the Foot, Saki went after Yoshi, and followed him to New York. We assume that was when Saki somehow met up with Krang, the alien warlord from Dimension X, who armed him with all sorts of technology that ranged from robotic Foot Soldiers to the colossal Technodrome. Wearing new steel bladed armour, Oroku Saki became The Shredder.

The Bad Guy Leader

After eventually finding Yoshi, Shredder tried to kill him by pouring the mysterious chemical Mutagen down a drain onto him, not knowing it would instead mutate him into a giant rat named Splinter, and also give birth to his worst enemies, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In that incarnation.

"Tonight, I dine on Turtle soup!"

Shredder continued his crime wave throughout New York, and sent his men to steal all sorts of advanced technology throughout the city, as well as posing as a security service, where he sent his own men to rob the places that he was supposed to be securing later. When news reporter, April O'Neil started reporting the possibility of Ninjas being responsible for those crimes, Shredder sent his Gang of Thugs to silence her. April, however, was rescued by the Turtles.

In the last two seasons of the show, the Turtles finally banish The Shredder and Krang to Dimension X. They destroy the engines and the "transdimensional portal" of the Technodrome preventing them from returning to Earth.

Leader of the Foot Clan
Turtles Forever Episode

Shredder, along with Krang, Rocksteady, and Bebop, was a main character in Turtles Forever. After a routine battle with the Turtles in which the Technodrome's Interdimensional Portal was accidentally damaged, a temporal anomaly occurred which trapped the Technodrome and all participants in the 2003 Universe. Shredder sought aid from the Utrom Shredder to help defeat the Turtles, but that attempt backfired: Ch'rell simply took over the Technodrome and upgraded it to a lethally armed mobile fortress. Shredder and Krang appeared as background characters following that coup d'etat, finally grew disillusioned with Ch'rell, and they aided the Turtles in their final battle against their common enemy. Afterwards, Shredder and Krang returned with 'their' Turtles to their home dimension on a temporary truce, though they swore that they would get back to business with their archenemies soon enough.

Splinter 1988 (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

"SPLINTER"

Splinter is one of my original collection I got when I was a kid. I like all his interpretations on him in all the comics, movies and cartoon shows. I still have all his weapons and rack.

In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, Splinter is Yoshi. He was a martial art instructor for the Foot Clan, based in Japan, and also had a passion for Renaissance art. One day he was framed by his rival, Oroku Saki (Eventually turn into his future arch-enemy, the Shredder), for trying to murder their common dojo master. Being unable to prove his innocence, he moved away to New York City, where he lived as a hermit in its sewers and befriended the rats.

He came across four baby turtles which were accidentally dropped by a boy through a grate of the sewers. He kept them as pets and treated them like his children. But later, he found the turtles venturing near broken barrels that were oozing glowing pink chemical liquid. As he tried to recover them from danger and attempted to clean them with his bare hands, they were all affected by the chemical which was a mutagen.

This transformed any living being into a mutant whose body became mixed with the DNA of any other living being it was most in contact with. The turtles, being in a pet store with people touching them and all around them, turned into young  mutated turtles. Hamato himself, having been in contact more with sewer rats, became a humanoid rat.

Splinter, the rat mutation of ninja master, Hamato Yoshi, is the Turtles' "shidoshi" (teacher of the warrior ways of enlightenment). As a man - and still as a sewer rat - Splinter has a special fondness for the arts, especially martial arts. He also digs the underground, since his rat-like abilities make him quite a burrower.

Shikomizue

The shikomizue ("prepared cane") is a Japanese concealed sword disguised as a cane or walking stick, similar to the sword stick. It was used mostly by the ninja, being easy to hide, and even went well with many disguises, such as travellers, the elderly, or the cripple. It is most famous for its use by the fictional sword master Zatoichi. But Splinter is pretty kick ass with the shikomizue

Ninja Bow

A Bow and arrow was a weapon used by the ninja as well as the samurai. The Bow is a flexible arc which shoots aerodynamic arrows by means of elastic energy. Essentially, the bow used by Ninja is a form powered by a string or cord. There are two types of bows and arrows: The long and the short. Ninja probably used shorter bows than the samurai's yumi(longbow). Both kinds of bow can be made from wood, steel, or other metals. But most are made from wood that are curved, then a string is attached. As this string is drawn, energy is stored in the flexible limbs of the bow; the energy is transferred to the arrow when the string is released, projecting it much farther than a weapon could be thrown.

Splinter (Yoshi) raised the turtles by himself, and gave them the names of his favourite Renaissance artists: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo, who were to be known by personality and headband colour. He also taught them the art of ninjutsu in order to protect themselves better, since people above ground would not accept them. And like many real life ninja masters He also has a strong sense of Honor and follows very strict rules of Honor. In which all four of his students take after and strongly follow.

Splinter uses his cunning as well as his bow and sword cane to stop and fight  the evil Foot Clan. Splinter trained the Turtles to fight for truth, justice and an equal portion of food.
